What’s Your Drink of Choice?

Maple Apple Granola | ROSEMARY WILD-1-2

I flew in late last night from an extended weekend in Seattle and to say I’m dragging a little today is an understatement.

Because I spend so much time at home I like to have a coffee to look forward to every day. There is something cozy about lighting a candle, pouring a drink, and wrapping up in a big sweater or blanket and working at my desk or reading a few pages in my books. I tend to save my treat for the afternoon when I know my boys are resting and I’ll have uninterrupted time to truly enjoy it. My drink of choice is the new Starbucks Cold Brew and I want to tell everybody about it, mostly because it helped me kick the Starbucks drive-thru habit for good and it is completely customizable. (This article is not sponsored, I’m just truly obsessed with this drink.)

This coffee is offered in three flavors: lightly sweetened, unsweetened, and caramel. You can pour over ice and drink it as-is, or fill your glass halfway and splash your milk of choice on top for that swirly indulgent look you get when you order a macchiato from the brick and mortar store. I’ve tried all of the flavors and my favorite is the caramel, but beware. I often find them sold out or not carried at stores like Wal Mart and Kroger. The most reliable place is Super Target and when I go I stock up on 3 bottles at a time. (That will last me a few weeks.) I love that I am saving money while simultaneously backing off on my sugar intake since I’m not adding creamer or any sweeteners.

What’s in your daily cup of joe? Have any recipes or tricks up your sleeve for finding time to sit and savor a bit of down time?

P.S. The Pioneer Woman’s iced coffee recipe and a smoothie for your morning fuel.

Mmmm! One of my fave indulgences is the tazo chai latte concentrate. So rich and creamy!

I love these so much too Mary Beth! I have them in the afternoon usually when Ellis is napping. I love that an entire bottle can last me about a week and a half and it’s generally on sale at Target here for $5. I’m saving SO much coffee money because ONE drink at Starbucks costs me that same amount! Love this stuff.

I cannot wait to drink coffee once my aversion lifts!!! This will definitely be on my shopping list! It looked so good when you were drinking it at the retreat.
